I’ve always hated cats, so I guess it’s only fitting that I hate a movie in which Kevin Spacey plays a cat.

Spacey stars as Tom Brand, a billionaire whose focus is more on his work than his own family. Desperately searching for a last minute birthday gift for his neglected daughter, he buys a cat from a mysterious pet store owned by Christopher Walken. After a bizarre sequence of events, Brand is trapped inside the cat’s body and  must find a way out to stop his family from falling apart and his business being swept out from underneath him.

Put simply: it’s awful.

Kevin Spacey, Christopher Walken and Jennifer Garner are all great actors but it’s clear the money they were offered for Nine Lives was too much to pass up on despite ridiculous script.

The CGI is awful, the humor is equal to a youtube cat video, and the contrived sentimentally is insulting.
