In all my years attending, performing and writing about comedy, I don’t think I’ve ever seen a show with such an accurate name. Hosted by Kiri Pritchard-McLean and brought to you by Goose and Gein’s Family Giftshop, previous acts to perform at Suspiciously Cheap Comedy include Greg Davies, Tim Key, Bridget Christie, Mark Watson, Daniel Kitson, Sara Pascoe, Lolly Adefope and a frankly distressing amount more. The last show in Leicester sold out Firebug, and with a potential line-up that good it’s not hard to see why. £5 is a good price to see a selection of comedians who aren’t yet in the big leagues, so it’s more than worth it for some of those who may be.

Sunday 10th June at Sue Townsend Theatre

Dan Wallbank has been floating around the Leicester comedy scene for five years and the music scene for ten. He's the founder of Comedy and Cocktails at Manhattan34, host of the Firebug Pop Quiz and creator of Instant Nostalgia, the podcast that reviews itself.
