Leicester’s own Mahalia returns to the city to play her biggest headline show to date at the city’s newest venue, Dryden Street Social. Fronting a new wave of UK R&B her songs are angsty, easy-going and carefully paced, but a far cry from her output of acoustic love songs that she might have been known for in her formative years on the local circuit. She’s now signed to a division of Warner Music and her sound is huge enough to match. For Fans of Fugees, Lucy Spraggan and JP Cooper.

Mahalia plays Dryden Street Social, Saturday 17th March. Tickets are available here.
