Comedic writer/performance poet Jackie Hagan, the self proclaimed working class, queer amputee, will be touring her new work This is Not a Safe Space this spring, thankfully for us this includes a stop at Attenborough Arts Centre. Using a mix of DIY puppetry, poetry and audience interaction, this latest work paints a gritty, funny and tender portrait of life with a disability in the UK. It rallies against the stigma surrounding benefits culture and successfully  entertains its audience through intrigue and empathy.

Attenborough Arts Centre, 23rd and 24th March
