Curve’s Inside Out Festival will be hosting Lewys Holt’s new double bill. Footnotes/Phrases is a pairing of solo contemporary dance works that fuse text, humour and improvisation to subtly explore our innate needs for connection and fears of loneliness. Footnotes, a parody of an academic lecture that’s verbose and dense language is frequently de-railed by footnotes that could entail dance, ranting or even flirting. Phrases however, exists in a more ethereal space. Projection is paired with often improvised movement and discussions of communication to create a subtly humorous yet unnerving piece of work.
Footnotes/Phrases can be seen at The Curve on 25th October.
