Back in April 2015, Leicester band Flying Kangaroo Alliance effectively played their last gig. Bassist Keeley Knight then departed for Manchester and the band lost momentum. Their songs got a dusting off when Meri Everitt formed the short-lived duo of Tail, but it’s only now that she has finally got together a full band that can become the portal for her wonderful song writing. So almost three years to the day, Flying Kangaroo Alliance will once again take to a Leicester stage. Expect to witness the re-emergence of this much-missed band playing some of their classic songs with a fresh new take. There may even be the odd surprise if we’re really lucky.

If that’s not enough to tempt you out then the extra treat on the bill is The Rogue Network. A new addition to the Manchester scene with a growing reputation. They also happen to include none other than the aforementioned former FKA bassist Keeley, so it will be a bit of a get together too. Finally, with it being at Pi Bar, it’s a free entry event.

Flying Kangaroo Alliance Play Pi Bar on Saturday 21st April.
