Writing and staging 14 short plays in the space of 48 hours is definitely a creative endurance test. I know my fair share of Forty-Eighters (yep, that’s what I’m calling them) and after each unique event occurs, I can see that glaze of fatigue, that lack of firing neurons behind their eyes. Every time however they pull it off, audiences are treated to a mix of drama and comedy featuring some of Leicester’s best theatrical talent. Coffee and energy drink fuelled creatives it seems can produce some stellar performances. This is an event Leicester should be proud of hosting.
