Oxjam Leicester Takeover returns on Saturday 28th October, when five venues around the city’s Cultural Quarter will host some of the best music from Leicester and beyond, to raise money for Oxfam.
The festival is entirely run by volunteers, with all of the bands, venues and crew volunteering their time so that all of the money raised on the day will go towards Oxfam’s life-changing work to build long-term sustainable solutions to the root causes of poverty and inequality.
A huge line-up of acts will be performing over 10 hours, with bands including Restless, The Fazed, The Smallblind Chris Trio, Her Burden and The Shrives.
This year sees the return of the Oxjam Beer, specially brewed for the festival by Market Harborough Brewery, plus a special cocktail created by the team at Manhattan 34, with donations from both going to Oxjam.
Rounding up the fundraising is the Oxjam raffle, with amazing prizes from Leicester Comedy Festival, Handmade Festival, Manhattan 34, The Shed, 110 Above Festival, DMU Music, The Cookie and Glitterbug Burlesque.
