Two of Leicester’s music promoters have nominated for awards at the LiveUK Live Music Awards.
Future Perfect, the team behind hundreds of shows at The Cookie, Dryden Street Social and The O2 Academy – as well as in Oxford and Wolverhampton – were nominated for Best Independent Promoter (Local Impact).
Future Perfect posted the following to The Cookie’s Facebook page: “It’s nice to be recognised after promoting hundreds of shows across Leicester over the past 6 years. It’s our aim to take emerging bands and promote through from The Cookie to the O2 Academy and keep bringing back big names to Leicester.”
The Robot Needs Home Collective, who have been promoting in the East Midlands for around twelve years, serving the city with a selection of unusual and more leftfield acts have also been nominated in the Best Independent Promoter (Local Impact) category.
Robot Needs Home posted the following to their Facebook page: “Delighted and bemused by our nomination for Best Independent Promoter at the LiveUK Awards alongside some great friends and promoters we look up to.”
Handmade Festival, a collaboration between The Cookie, Firebug and Robot Needs Home held at The O2 Academy, was also nominated for Best Multi Venue Festival.
