Leicester musician Dan Wright is set to release a new EP Drunken Words and Sober Thoughts later this month.

His latest release comes April 28, less than 18 months after his debut Lyrics on a Postcard, which reached number 11 on the iTunes Singer/Songwriter Chart.

“I have always felt I only speak my true feelings after I’ve had one too many drinks” Says Dan, “I guess it’s the battle of confidence versus anxiety.”

The five track EP will tell an honest account of the difficulty of twenty-somethings struggling with anxiety and the battle to balance it with confidence that alcohol can bring.

“My new EP, feels more honest and personal whilst keeping my acoustic indie blues style.

“It tells the story of how often the truth about our feelings that lie bubbling under the surface bursts through after drinking.”

Although he has no plans to tour the EP as of yet, Dan has a spot at this year’s Simon Says festival at De Montfort Hall.

His debut EP can be found on Soundcloud.

Simon Says takes place at DeMontfort Hall on 29th and 30th July.
