This issue he takes a look at StudionAme. 1 of 6 ALI CARPENTER - HUGHESMixed-media, painting, drawing, textiles and printing. I am the current artist in residency at StudionAme, so I am taking the time to experiment with different medium and build a body of work. My work is visual story telling, with symbolism in the narrative flows of the image. CHRISTOPHER SAMUEL - Politics of identity. Working on a body of work relating to entitlement around disability, care and housing. JAS SINGH - Multi-undisaplined. I'm currently using Leicester as a location on working on site-specific work and how we are affected by the political climate. LOZ ATKINSON - Painting. Cloud/water and interstellar works on canvas. Preparing for some major art fairs in the spring. RHIANNE BURGESS - Documentation and movement. Measuring the self through line and diagram. TOM VAN HERREWEGE - Sculpture and drawing. A large series of artworks involving burning away imagery of animals to communicate the devastating effects of mankind on the animal kingdom. So the more of the image that has been removed - the closer it is to extinction. The artworks are all going to be exhibited as a series in the gallery here from March 23rd to April 6th.
