“Wouldn’t it be great if there was a venue in central Leicester where shoppers, workers, locals and visitors could drop in and enjoy an art show?”

So began ‘The Eye’. A volunteer art exhibition organised by Jane Sunbeam and Moira Robinson, it aims to be more than just a blink-and-you’ll-miss-it pop-up, but more of a long term gallery – with changing exhibits that show off the incredible art work produced in and around Leicester.

They now have a diverse and varied group of around 48 artists creating work to be exhibited. Some are established, some are fresh out of art school, and some have no formal training at all. All of them having something worth looking at.
