As we bid a fond farewell to the popular street food night Canteen, the minds at LCB Depot turn to the next chapter in developing exciting new events for the city in the Cultural Quarter.

Introducing Last Friday, the new monthly event starting Friday 28th September.

Taking place on (funnily enough) the last Friday of every month, Last Friday will showcase street food, cocktails made by guest mixologists, and ales from the guest public house, you will also be able to soak up a broader range of culture, arts and DJs at LCB Depot’s indoor/outdoor cafe.

On Saturday 29th September they are also hosting Leicester Beer Convention with beer curated by Leicester Beer week. Unlike your typical Beer Fest, LCB can guarantee you a relaxed yet vibrant atmosphere from the moment you walk through the door. Still Ill Studios will be providing an eclectic range of live music from spoken word to acoustic sessions alongside DJ Earl Dudley, 7 Brewery’s and at the heart of it all delicious food from Bamboo, Gelato Village and Grays Coffee Shop & Kitchen.

Suitable for all members of the family this weekend of fun falls on the halfway mark of LCB Depot’s two month long Design Season, which kicked off Monday 3rd September with its official launch on September 6th at 6pm. A two month series of exhibitions and events showcasing the very best in city and county design talent, the confirmed programme of events can be found on the website designseason.uk

Festival season might be coming to an end but that doesn’t mean the good times have to stop there, Last Friday will cater to all of your social needs right up to Friday 30th November when you then need to focus your attention on Winter In The City.

Taking place on Saturdays (8th, 15th & 22nd) throughout December, in true Grays style, Winter In The City is Leicester’s newest non-corporate, corporate, alternative Christmas party. No tired old themes, no set menu, arrive when you like, eat what and when you want, whilst soaking up top class entertainment, watching live music and dancing until you drop at the social hub in Leicester’s cultural quarter.

However bored you may be at the weekends in the run up to Christmas, LCB Depot have got you covered, so make the most of these new events while you can.
