This weekend, The Criterion plays host to an incredible line-up of comedy, with nine Edinburgh Preview shows across three days – and all are Pay What You Want.

Proper Funny Comedy is one of Leicester’s long-running monthly comedy nights, and alongside Leicester Fridge host/promoter Jason Neale has arranged a massive Edinburgh preview weekend under the Proper Funny banner. From Friday 7th July to Sunday 9th July, you can find nine Edinburgh preview shows all under one roof.

On Friday, Jane Hill brings her Comedy Festival show Cow to open proceedings at 8pm, followed by Neale’s own Talking and Pausing at 9:30. Saturday brings Damian Kingsley’s Cant Dance, Won’t Dance at 7, Olaf Falafel’s The Marmosets of my Mind at 8:45 and the comedy battle royale of the Ultimate Comedy Championship at 10:15.Sunday is a day of local heroes. Kicking off at 4:30, Lucy Thompson’s best show nominated Shake It Off is followed at 5:45 by former Leicester Mercury Comedian of the Year Matt Hollins’s LE8 State of Mind. English Comedian of the Year winner and DMU graduate Jack Campbell shows off his Work in Progress at 7, and at 8:30 Bruce Edhouse and Ian Hall show us A Year In The Life of The Two Syds.

Every show on the bill is free to enter and Pay What You Want on exit.
