Leicester Indie stalwarts Clubs have announced that they will play their last show at The Cookie this Christmas on the 23rd December.

The band announced the news on their Facebook page earlier today, with a heartfelt thank you to everyone who has supported them.

“Over the few years we’ve been a band we have done some really fun things we never thought we’d do – Isle of Wight, T in the Park, Tours, festivals, endless Leicester shows, surprise basement shows, big gigs, small gigs and everything in between. Some of the best and funniest moments have come from this band and now we feel like it’s a good time to call it a day.

“It wouldn’t make sense to do the last show anywhere else, so it just has to be the 23rd December at The Cookie. Come and celebrate with us for one final time and make The Clubs Last Waltz the greatest show ever. We’ll be playing all the festive hits (and some of our own tracks too)…

Thankyou if you’ve ever come to a show, listened to our music, bought our merch or just been a general legend.

See you around, CLUBS xx”
