Leicester’s Phoenix is encouraging young adults to try their local independent cinema by dropping ticket prices for them to just £3 in March.

The £3 tickets will be available for anyone aged 18-30 to watch the majority of films screening in March – including Hidden Figures, Lego Batman, Fences, The Love Witch and Free Fire.

The cut-price tickets will only be available at the Phoenix box office 45 minutes before the start of each film, but not available to purchase online or in advance.

“This offer is designed to give young adults a great reason to try their local independent cinema,” said Patrick Welsh, marketing manager of Phoenix. “We’re confident that once they’ve found Phoenix and discovered the range of great films we show – including blockbusters, indie films and world cinema – they’ll be back for more.”
